Do you accept my insurance?

Most insurances accepted

As a courtesy, we will gladly file your dental insurance claims and collect just your estimated co-payment. As all insurance plans are different and vary by employer, patients are still responsible for any balance remaining after we receive insurance payments.

Will my insurance pay 100% for services they cover?

We will provide a free insurance benefit assessment.

Typically, plans cover a percentage of treatment rather than the full amount (although many will cover 100% of certain services, like twice-a-year dental cleanings). That’s because unlike medical insurance, dental plans are designed to help defray costs – not cover them completely. Your plan may not cover all necessary procedures.

The more you and your employer pay for insurance, the higher the covered percentage will be and the more procedures it will cover.

How do I find out how much my insurance covers?

 

We will provide a free insurance benefit assessment. We will obtain a breakdown of benefits prior to your dental appointment.

Your plan sponsor, or human resource department should provide you with a summary of your plan’s co-payments, exclusions, limitations and annual maximums.

Can I get all my dental work done at once?

You can, and we want to provide it for you! We will work together with you to restore your health and provide you with treatment over time, within your budget, and to help you maximize your dental insurance benefits.

Please understand that most insurance plans have annual maximums. We will help you to determine what your plan’s maximum benefit is and whether your “annual year” is based on the calendar year, your hire date, or another factor.

We will also find out what “frequency exclusions” your plan includes – for example, a plan that pays for a cleaning every six months will not pay if your cleaning is even 1 day earlier.

What if I wait until next year so my insurance will cover it?
The sooner your care is completed, the less likely the chance of costly and time-consuming complications. We’ve often seen patients pay more out-of-pocket due to delaying treatment than they would have paid had the treatment been performed when recommended – due to their condition worsening as time passes. We offer both payment plans and CareCredit so our patients can avoid delaying care and therefore minimize the risk of complications.
How come my insurance company says that they will pay only for the “least expensive alternative treatment”?
The “fine print” of most insurance plans allows them to pay for the least expensive alternate treatment. Your insurance benefits depend on the contract negotiated with your employer. Please keep in mind that the least expensive treatment may not be the best and may be the most expensive in the long run.

I want and need a lot of dental work, but I'm afraid I can't afford it. Do you offer monthly payment plans?

Yes.

We do offer monthly payment plans with our financial partner, Care Credit. We provide a variety of ways for you to pay for your treatment so that it fits comfortably into your personal or family financial goals.  Our team works with you to create the solution that accommodates you so you can have the beautiful, healthy smile you have always desired.

I want cosmetic dentistry. Does my insurance pay for it?

Dental insurance is designed to assist you in paying for routine and emergency dentistry. Most cosmetic procedures are not covered by insurance.

To help you afford your smile, we offer a variety of payment options in addition to a monthly payment plan provided by our financial partner, Care Credit.

We also pay special attention to maximizing the benefits that your insurance does provide. Ask our team how you can comfortably afford your dentistry and maximize your dental insurance benefits.

What can I expect from my first appointment?
During your first appointment, your overall dental and oral health will be assessed with a comprehensive oral evaluation. Upon completion of your medical / dental health form, we will ask you to tell us your goals regarding your smile, teeth, and gums. Digital photos and X-rays will be taken of your teeth to identify areas of decay, cracked teeth and malfunctioning restorations. Diagnodent, a specialized laser, may also be used on your teeth, notifying us of early areas of decay that are not visible on the X-ray or digital photographs. Our goal is to preserve as much of your teeth as possible by catching decay in its earliest stages. We'll also assess your gums and recommend the appropriate hygiene treatment for you.
